Towards a Global Community: Educating for Tomorrow's World
Campbell,J; Baikaloff, N. & Power,C.(Eds) Dordrecht NL: Springer (2006).
WEF Australia led the global study undertaken by WEF in collaboration
with UNESCO on education for the future. Recently published by Springer,
the book begins with an analysis of the views of leading thinkers from
36 countries about the type of global community needed to ensure a
peaceful and sustainable future. The second part of the book focuses on
the curriculum and pedagogical implications of the WEF study, including
basic education, education for sustainable development. Conflict
resolution and peace, and educating world citizens.

The biennial General Conference of UNESCO, to which WEF has consultant
status as a Non Government Organisation (NGO), was held in the first two
weeks of October. Denis Feeney, Secretary of the WEF Australian Forum

Launch of NEEF Report
The final report of the National Education and Employment Forum (NEEF),
Bridging

was launched by His Excellency, The Rght. Rev. Dr. Peter Hollingworth,
