New Horizons in Education
New Horizons in Education
provides a forum for introducing and examining educational practices and
ideas. Articles are invited from a wide range of disciplines about all
levels and facets of education. The journal particularly welcomes
articles that consider new initiatives in, and new directions for,
education and which support the aims of the World Education Fellowship.
New Horizons in Education is a refereed journal produced by the World
Education Fellowship Australian Forum.
The World
Education Fellowship has decided that it will cease publishing New
Horizons in Education with the November 2006 volume.

Bridging
the Gap between the Haves and the Have Nots
"'Bridging the Gap' is compelling: I am most impressed by the
wisdom which informs your recommendations and am drawing the report to
the attention of the Judges of this Court" (The Hon. Paul de Jersey,
AC, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Queensland).
The long awaited Bridging the Gap
between the 'Haves' and the 'Have Nots Report of the National
Education and Employment Forum (NEEF), compiled by Dr Anne Feeney and
colleagues is now available. This Report is the culmination of a unique
and historic process of a series of State and National forums that
brought together representatives from a large cross section of the
Australian community. The Report was officially launched by the Governor
General, Dr Peter Hollingworth, AC, OBE, in Canberra on the 20th August.
Dr Hollingworth is the Patron of NEEF as was Sir William Deane AC, KBE,
his predecessor.
The depth and breadth of the material contained in this Report make it
one of the most stimulating and thought provoking documents of its type.
You may or may not agree with all of the statements contained in the
Report but one thing is assured, it will generate debate for a
considerable period of time.
Hard copies of the report are available (limited number) at a
cost of $25 plus $5 postage and handling.
For a copy of the report please contact
Dr Anne Feeney on
neefreport@wef.org.au or
anne.feeney@uqconnect.net.
